As adults, we often repeat patterns of behaviour that have followed us through many generations. I know that I have personally identified with this, which is why supporting young people and their families is so important to me now. I want to break that cycle for all families. I bring together my experience and training as a Wellbeing Facilitator, and as a former teacher/head teacher, to enable families to create resilience and a positive mindset, as they meet the challenges of daily life.
If one member of a family is having a hard time, the rest of the family is also going through a hard time to a greater or lesser degree. We are interlinked. As adults, we need to look after ourselves, so that we can be our 'best selves' when we are with our young people, either as parents, teachers or in some other way. Children can identify their parents' emotional state in 4 nano-seconds and adapt accordingly! We need to look after ourselves so that we can be there for our young people.
I work face to face, online, in the outdoors and in schools, working with individuals, groups and families. If you would like to learn more about what I do, please get in touch. I look forward to working with you.
